Quality and testing standard
Last updated: 2026-10-16
Every product page shows the lab report on file for that product's current lot, when there is one, so you can read it before you order. Reports are issued by an independent, accredited lab and are published as the lab issued them.
This page sets out what those reports cover, how to check one against your material, and the limits of what a report tells you.
What a report covers
| Test | Method | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | LC-MS | The observed mass matches the expected mass of the compound. |
| Purity | HPLC-UV | The share of the UV signal that belongs to the main peak, reported to two decimals. |
| Net content | As reported | The amount of compound the lab measured in the vial it tested. |
| Endotoxin | LAL, USP <85> | A screen for bacterial endotoxin. On the current-format reports only. |
| Microbial | PCR | A PCR screen for common microbial DNA. On the current-format reports only. |
- Current-format reports cover all five tests above.
- A few older-format reports cover identity, purity and net content only. The product page and the COA library say which format a product's report is, and never show a test the report does not contain.
Every current report is listed in the COA library, with its lot, purity and report date.
How to check a report against your material
- Find the lot number printed on your vial or bottle.
- Open the product page or the COA library and compare it with the lot shown there.
- Open the report itself and check the product name, lot, report date and the figures it reports.
- If anything does not match, contact [email protected] before using the material.
What a report does not tell you
- A report describes the sample the lab tested from that lot. It is not a guarantee about any later handling, storage or use.
- Purity by HPLC is a relative measure of the main peak; it does not by itself identify every minor component.
- We do not publish ratings, reviews or purity figures that are not on a lab report.
